Terms and Conditions

Bookings are made for only 2 x guests and will be received as 1 COUPLE and will be charged only 1 Bedroom Deluxe SPA Chalets' rate and will be provided with 1KING bed regardless which chalet has been booked .
if the booking received for any 2 Bedroom Chalets for only 2 guests' stay, it will also be recognized as 1 COUPLE by the Booking Engine and it will be Re-Located to 1 Bedroom Chalet OR the second bedroom will NOT be accessible.

 

If the Guests prefers or needs 2 Bedroom Deluxe SPA chalet for 2 guests stay; up-charges applies (from $69 pn/pp subject to changes) and Guest MUST contact with reception via phone call /Sms/emailASAP to inform, that, required 2 bedroom Deluxe SPA Chalet for 2 guests stay and the invoice will be amended accordingly.
OR ideally when you are booking for 2 guests only, and each guest preferring to have their own bedrooms, PLEASE ENTER 3 ADULT guest, so you can be upgraded to 2Bedroom chalet and provided with min.one bed in each bedroom and the rates will be automatically upgraded to suit.

CONDITIONS OF BOOKING AND OCCUPANCY 

Please read these conditions carefully. Each person accceptiong these conditions (“the Guest’) acknowledges and agrees that these conditions apply and extend to any person (also referred to as “Guest”) occupying or visiting the Room or resort complex and/or using the facilities in the resort complex at the invitation of or with the authority of the Guest. Conditions of booking are inclusive of but not limited to:​

 

  • Management reserves the right to refuse occupancy to any person or persons refusing to do so. Management DOES NOT promise to provide any particular chalet to any particular Guest. Management has the rights to change the Chalet(s) at any time.

 

  • Please consider taking a domestic holiday insurance, acc provider does not cover =particulary= for natural disasters, pandemics etc.
     

  • CHECK IN from 3:00 PM. all guests MUST check in at Reception on arrival. Pls inform if arriving AFTER 5:00pm. Check out till 10 am(latest)
     

  • Must BYO indoor slippers for extra HYGENE, BYO your favorite grounded coffee. Other recommended items to bring; Ankle supported hiking shoes, long pants, hat, swimsuit, water bottle, beach/spa towels, bikes, warm clothes, rain coat, torch,backpack

 

  • During winter months Fire Wood provided (LIMITED amount is FREE, additional can be purchased – its encouraged to collect your kindling around your chalets. However COLLECTING FIREWOOD is NOT PERMITTED.
     

  • FOR GROUPS; CATERING by an Italian Chef can be booked (min 10 adult meals). If having any meals together, must use the group area for cooking/eating. Essentials provided. Chalets' inventory must stay in the chalets. Chalets must occupied/used only by the number of guests booked in. Charges will apply for extra cleaning and/or if any inventory mixed between the chalets or/and missing ( usually cutlery gets thrown away with food scraps)
     

  • VISITORS whom are not booked in, not paid for, considered as TRESSPASSER unless registered at the Reception in advance. VISITORS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO USE RESORT FACILITIES such as hikes/bike tracks/pools/ indoor&outdoor SPAs /Wifi/Tesla Charger/chalets/bbq etc. Chalets and facilities only to be used by Booked and paid guests. Guest and VISITORS can met only at the Reception, Visitors are NOT ALLOWED to access beyond Reception.
     

  • ROAD DIRECTION; STAY ON THE HIGHWAY, FOLLOW the Girraween Nat PARK SIGNS.... 26 km south of Stanthorpe (26 km north of Tenterfield) take the PYRAMIDS RD EXIT We are 1 MIN before the Nat Park info center. DO NOT FOLLOW THE GOOGLE MAP, IT MAY TAKE YOU TO THE BACK ROADS (through Girraween National Park)
     

  • RE-SCHEDULING for the Bookings postponned by guests are subject to availability and conditions apply. Some months (eg April till Oct) and dates such as public holidays, school vacation times, weekends or/and other undisclosed dates may be excluded. +++Occupancy starts and finishes on the dates shown on the receipt in accordance with check in and departure times.
     

  • The Guest will be liable for payment of any charges incurred by themselves or their guests together with all replacements and necessary costs for and damage or loss to the Room or its contents or the resort property caused by any Guest.
     

  • The Room must not be used for any unlawful purpose or/and by visitors. Only the number of people shown and paid for on the receipt may stay in the Room during the booked period.
     

  • No animals or pets are to be brought into the resort without the expressed prior knowledge and/or written authority of the Manager. Neither the Resort nor the Management is liable for any injury, damage or loss of property which a Guest may sustain while on the resort complex or property grounds.
     

  • There is no refund for early departure and/or arrival for later days Every guest is booked/charged for the same number of the nights as original booking.
     

  • The Resort or the Manager is not responsible for any mis-description of the Room.
     

  • In the event of the Guest desiring to cancel/postpone the booking please refer to Cancellation Policy for deadlines. A credit will be applied to “the guest” accommodation account if the timeline conditions met, and held for a period of 3 to12 months (Exception may apply) after which time if no further booking is made, the amount becomes the property of Girraween Environmental Lodge. No credit will be applied if booking is cancelled outside the T&C deadlines, unless otherwise arranged with management.
     

  • The by-laws, rules and regulations of the resort complex and any reasonable requirement of the Manager must be complied with. If the guest fails to comply with the Managers request, the room must be vacated immediately.
     

  • Whilst on the property, all guests must follow management's instructions and comply with all covid safe requirements.
     

  • The Manager may inspect the Room at any time with reasonable notice and at any time without notice if the Manager is of the opinion that there has been a breach of these conditions.
     

  • If the occupancy ends or is terminated, the Guest must immediately vacate the Room. The Manager is authorised to do whatever is required to force the eviction of any Guest and removal of Guests’ property.
     

  • The Manager has the right to charge any credit card for any loss, damage, or monetary contribution for which any guest is liable under this document or otherwise.
     

  • Glass must never be taken into any of the pool areas. Breakages contaminating the pool or spas will incur a cleaning charge for Guests deemed responsible.
     

  • It is a standard practice across the industry that; Guests must wash and put away their own dishes. min$35 surcharge will be applied if failed to do so.
     

  • If the chalet is left in an unsatisfactory condition additional cleaning fees from $40 will charge to guest’s account.
     

  • Missing items from kitchen draws ( including cutlery, cooking utensils, pots pans etc) or/and rest of the chalets' inventory will be charged to guests account $25- $250 per item.
     

  • Mattress/Lounge/Donna cleaning or replacement fee from $300 upto $1200 will be charged to guest’s account ;if; spillage occurs or effected by wet towels being left on them. Same fees will apply for he permanent damage to the inventory of the chalets including White appliances.
     

  • Extra guests without booking or/and non-charged extra beds being used ; will be charged to guests account min$69 pp, p.night X full length of the booking.
     

  • A key may be issued to you on arrival, a deposit of $100.00 will be held to your account and refunded on returning of key on departure keys not returned on departure will incur a loss of your deposit.
     

GIRRAWEEN ENVIRONMENTAL LODGE RESORT GUEST WAIVER AND RELEASE AGREEMENT PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE SIGNING. THIS IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND WAVIER OF LEGAL RIGHTS. In consideration for my being permitted to participate in the activities of the Girraween Environmental Lodge Resort(GEL). I agree to the following wavier and release. I acknowledge that the activities undertaken on GEL properties have inherent risks, hazards, and dangers for anyone, which cannot be eliminated. I understand that these risks, hazards, and dangers include without limitation. 1. The risk of falling; 2. The risk of becoming lost; 3. The risk of injury from the use of (GEL) equipment 4. Walking in rugged country and possible encounters with wildlife, animals and insects; 5. Inclement weather conditions. 6.Falling, entering, using any natural or/and man-made facilities; eg; dams, creeks, pools, indoor/outdoor spa, waterholes, rocks, trees, veranda etc…I understand the risks, hazards, and dangers as described above and have had the opportunity to discuss them with GEL. I understand that these activities may require good physical conditioning and a degree of skill and knowledge. I have the good physical conditioning, and the skill and knowledge needed for me to participate in these activities safely. I understand my own responsibilities and I participate in the activities of my own free will. I am voluntarily using the services of GEL with full knowledge of the inherent risks, hazards, and dangers involved and hereby assume and accept all risks involved, including but not limited to loss of life, limb, paralysis, cuts, sprains, strains, etc. Lastly, I, for myself, my heirs, successors, executors, and subrogees, hereby knowingly and intentionally waive and release, indemnify and hold harmless, GEL and its shareholders that operate through their, employees and volunteers from and against any and all claims, actions, causes of action, liabilities, suits, expenses, which are related to arise out of, or are in any way connected with my participation in this activity, including but not limited to, negligence of any kind, whether foreseen or unforeseen, arising directly or indirectly out of any damage, loss, injury, paralysis, or death to me or my property as a result of my engaging in the activities or the use of these services, animal or equipment, whether such results from negligence of GEL, or from any other cause. I, for myself, my heirs, my successors, executors, and subrogees, further agree not to sue or seek compensation from GEL and those associated with GEL because of any injury, loss, or death suffered in connection with my use and participation in the activities of GEL. If any provision of this release is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be severed from this contract. The remainder of this contract will then be construed as though the unenforceable provision had never been contained in this document.

I HAVE CAREFULLY READ, CLEARLY UNDERSTAND, AND VOLUNTARILY SIGN THIS WAIVER AND RELEASE AGREEMENT. I HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POTENTIAL DANGERS THAT I MAY ENCOUNTER. I AGREE TO BE BOUND BY IT. GUEST (ON BEHALF OF MYSELF & MY FAMILY & GUESTS).

CANCELLATION POLICY

  • Cancellations from 33 days prior to booking arrival date will forfeit payment.
     

  • Cancellations until 33 days prior to booking arrival date are allowable without loss of payment, provided the booking is cancelled in writing by the Guests. If the booking has been cancelled in writing ,the payment remains nonrefundable and will be held in credit for a period of 12 months (may be extended up to 3 years (conditions apply) for a future booking from the date of cancellation. The future booking dates will be subject to availability, guests have to agree/cooperate with Accommodation Providers' calendar priorities, conditions apply.
     

  • Rates applied will be at the rates of new arrival date if there is any change over the time period.
    Bookings cancelled by the Guest or provider WILL NOT be able to re-schedule for Public/School Holidays and most weekends during peak season (April - October) will be exempt.
     

  • No alterations can be made within 45 days prior to arrival date (except to ADD additional guests, or to extend the stay if available.) Please note: Girraween Environmental Lodge is not an Insurance company and highly recommended purchasing a short term travel insurance for unforeseen events (e.g., illness, accident, bereavement, adverse weather events, natural disasters etc).   • If a booking is made on a rate that has been incorrectly posted Girraween Environmental Lodge reserves the right to correct the rate or cancel the reservation and will contact you directly in order to do so. If dates amended 0 - 45days before arrival, 100% of the total amount will be forfeited. If amended 46 or more days before arrival, payments will be transferable for 12 months (maybe extended, conditions apply) IF 3 or more chalets or whole resort booked by a group; date amendments can be done only 3months before arrival.
    FOR ANY AMENDMENTS/CANCELLATIONS/POSTPONEMENTS and RE-SCHEDULED bookings number of nights/guests remains same (can be increased if available) .
     

  • RE-SCHEDULING the Postponed Bookings subject to availability and conditions apply. Peak periods (eg April till Oct) and dates such as public holidays, school vacation times, weekends or/and other undisclosed dates may be excluded. Potential Guests who are not certain about their future circumstances eg; Health, the weather, natural disasters, pandemic of any kind, and other related issues should consider carefully before committing to their Booking contract. We strongly recommend to committing to take short term Holiday Insurance.
     

  • PAYMENT PLAN
    If you are Booking well in advance and need an EASAIER PAYMENT plan, or, PREFER NOT TO PAY CC fees and pay via DD, please contact us via our website email/ph  www.girraweenlodge.com.au
    If additional nights are required or extra guests arriving MUST CONFIRM with Management prior to arrival so the chalet can be prepared to suit. Every guest will be charged according to our agreed rates and for the SAME length of the original booking.
